Police Hunting Suspect Caught On Surveillance Peeping Into Eastpointe Children's Bedrooms

(WWJ) A man is being sought in Eastpointe for peeping through the window of children's bedrooms.

The most recent sighting was Monday when surveillance cameras captured him with a stepladder at a home in the area of Gratiot and Toepfer. He was caught on camera visiting the home five times that night, and the mother of the house realized what was happening when her phone alerted her to movement on the camera.

He was apparently trying to look into the bedroom of the family's 11-year-old daughter.

Police are looking for a man 30 to 40 years of age about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds that has also been peeping in other homes around Eastpointe. At least two other incidents were reported.

After the latest case, a K9 track was done with the assistance of the Roseville PD, but the suspect was not located.

"This guy is quiet," the mother told WDIV-TV. "He didn't make a sound, he didn't cough, he didn't sneeze, he didn't breathe hard," she said.

Anyone with information on his identity is asked to contact Eastpointe Detective Wood at 586-445-5100 ext. 1027.
