DETROIT (WWJ) - Police have arrested a 31-year-old man suspected of stabbing another man in Detroit's Greektown Friday evening.
The incident unfolded just after 7 p.m. in the 500 block of Monroe Street. Despite multiple reports, police say the incident did not happen outside of the Greektown Casino.
According to police, the suspect and the 20-year-old victim were involved in a verbal dispute when the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the chest. He fled the scene on foot, then escaped on the People Mover.

The suspect was located around 11:15 p.m. in the area of Fort and Beaubien streets and taken into custody. Charges are pending.
The incident remains under investigation.
