DEARBORN HEIGHTS (WWJ) - Police are investigating a shooting in Dearborn Heights that left a teen boy dead and another injured.
Officers responded to a home on Lehigh Street, in the area of Beech Daly Road and Annapolis Street, around 1:40 a.m. Thursday after getting a 911 call about a shooting. The teenage victim was transported to the hospital for treatment and released.

— Mike Campbell (@reportermikec) February 28, 2019While investigating the shooting, police were notified of a second teen with gunshot injuries at Annapolis Beaumont Hospital in the City of Wayne. He did not survive.
Police say the shootings are related, but other circumstances weren't immediately clear.
Investigators are interviewing witnesses and reviewing surveillance video in an effort to identify a gunman and determine exactly what happened.
Jill Wilson, who lives on Lehigh with her mother, said nothing like this has happened in the neighborhood before.
"The only one I can think of is the one kid who's there, and he's always been a nice kid. I don't know that much about him but he's been a nice kid, like, 'Hi, how you doing?' I'm just really shocked," Wilson told WWJ's Mike Campbell.
No names have been released.
An investigation is ongoing.
