SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) - A major road closure in Oakland County this weekend could cause some headaches for drivers.
Both directions of Telegraph Road (US-24) will be closed this weekend at the I-696/M-10 interchange for storm sewer work. The closure lasts from Friday night until Monday morning.
The Michigan Department of Transportation says crews will be replacing two deteriorated storm sewers that cross US-24 near I-696, in addition to completing ditch work on each side of US-24.
Northbound US-24 traffic will be detoured via southbound M-10, northbound Lahser Road, and northbound M-10 to northbound US-24.
Southbound US-24 traffic will be detoured via northbound M-10 to a crossover to southbound M-10 back to southbound US-24.
