The DSO is hosting a night of movement with tai chi and yoga led by bassoonist/contrabassoonist and certified instructor Marcus Schoon. He'll lead a Yang family Tai chi class accompanied by live music performed by Xiao Hottman. That begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by, at 7 p.m., Detroit Yoga Lab leading a session for yogis of all skill levels. Come one, come all. Choose your favorite or enjoy both!

Halloween will be here before we know it, so Krampus anyone? Prepare yourself for the coming of the Detroit Krampusnacht Parade! On Sunday September 8th, Krampusnacht Detroit is hosting a Krampusnacht Creature Workshop to guide the intrigued to become the Krampus (or Perchten, etc) they were always meant to be. This workshop, beginning with the historic traditions of Krampusnacht, will focus on the creation of your own wearable horns with guidance to develop your unique creature ensemble for the festivities in December. The outing includes Introductions to Holiday Folklore (St Nick, Perchta, Saturnalia, Yule and Krampus), The Various Renditions of Krampus, An Overview of Krampus as a Character and Costume, a Hands-on Horns Fabrication Workshop
