DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are trying to identify a young man who broke into a restaurant on the east side and stole several bottles of liquor.
The break-in happened around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday at Norma G's Caribbean Cuisine Restaurant on E. Jefferson, between Chalmers and Alter Road.
Police say the suspect used a car jack to bust through the restaurant's front window. Once inside, police say the suspect grabbed several liquor bottles, then fled the scene on foot.
The suspect is described as a male in his early 20s, wearing a dark-colored hooded jacket with gray long sleeves, tan pants, and black and white shoes.
The incident was captured on surveillance cameras, as the restaurant is a Project Green Light location.
