WWJ -- Kevin Bohannon of Ann Arbor set out Monday night to dethrone record-breaking "Jeopardy!" contestant James Holzhauer, who took home a show-best $110,914 in last Tuesday's game.

Holzhauer could not be beaten, however, pushing his total winnings to $460,000 over his eight-day run.

While Bohannon was unable to pull off the upset, he did deliver on a question with hometown ties.

In the first round of Monday's show, the $400 answer in the "First Winner" category was "Fielding 'Hurry Up Yost Coached Michigan to a 49-0 win over Stanford in the first of these games in 1902."

The answer of course: "What is a Rose Bowl?"

Bohannon was quick on the buzzer and was able to put a silver lining in his second-place finish by answering the question about his hometown team.

Holzhauer went on to win a modest $45,000, which hardly compares to prizes of more than $110,000 and $89,000 (on Friday).
