(WWJ) A violent night erupted in Detroit as three people were shot and killed and three others were wounded in a five hour period.
One shooting early this morning involved a 14-year old who pulled out a gun and shot a 38-year old man who was fighting with the teen's mother at a home on Steel Street near Eight Mile and Meyers.
Police have the teen in custody; It's unknown if he'll face charges or what exactly precipitated him opening fire on the man known as his mother' boyfriend.
Meantime, a 29-year old man was shot and killed while sitting in a car at Maheras-Gentry Park on the city's eastside. And police are looking for whoever killed a 30 year old man who was found shot to death at a home on Houghton Street near Seven Mile and Lahser around 7:30 last night.
It continued this morning with a seventh incident -- and the fourth murder in 24 hours -- as a man was found dead in his driveway at 5:40 a.m. on Hampshire Street, near Harper and Dickerson, with no suspect in sight.
Anyone with any information about the shootings can call Crimestoppers at 800-Speak Up.
