Convenience and fun wrapped in a new car-buying experience from retailer Carvana as they launch their so-called car vending machine in the Motor City.
The brick and glass structure located along I-96 in the Adell Center on Novi Road stands eight stories tall holding up to 27 vehicles.

Put in a token and the mechanism goes into action raising up and selecting your vehicle.

WWJ Reporter Mike Cambell got to go on a ride inside the structure to see it in action. As the car reached the viewing area it rotated back and forth a couple times. "This is the tease," said Campbell.
Caravana spokesperson Amy O'Hara explains how the process works. "They'll be given one of our fun, unique commemorative coins to activate the vending process and then they'll get to see their vehicle descend from the tower down into one of our delivery bays where they'll get to do a quick walk around ..," said O'Hara.
Carvana is calling it a "New Way To Buy A Car" where they claim that according to a company statement, "In as little as five minutes, customers can shop an inventory of more than 15,000 vehicles, finance, purchase, trade-in, and schedule as-soon-as-next-day pick up at the new Detroit Car Vending Machine."
Carvana touts an "upgraded" test drive experience offering a full week with the vehicle to ensure a good fit. They'll also buy your used car with an offer within minutes.
