DENVER (WWJ) -- Parts of Colorado were oh high alert Monday, as officials warned of avalanche danger after up to 4 feet of snow fell in some areas in the past few days.
A dash cam video went viral, as a family traveling along I-70 between Copper Mountain and Frisco captured footage of one avalanche that completely covered part of the interstate, burying several vehicles. No injuries were reported, according to ABC 7 in Denver.
More avalanches were reported on Monday, with one of them caught on camera, though it did not reach the roadway.
CBS 4 in Denver reported that Silverton, Colo., saw more than 30 inches of snow in a 48-hour period.
