Would you hustle a little harder to get a scholarship to Michigan or Michigan State? That's the basis of the drill developed by Peyton Kemp's coach Derrick Brooks.
It's a way to keep his workouts fun and focus his Kemp's efforts on the near term goal of a college scholarship to one of his favorite schools. It's easy to see he enjoys the sport of basketball since he's smiling constantly on the court. That and Tony Ortiz's attempts to play Kemp one on one were humorous.
The 10-year-old from Clinton Township, Mich. was recently featured on Whistle Sports' show "No Days Off" which showcases kids with amazing sports talents.
His family has also been vital in his skills development. Where did he learn his shot. "Kemp said, "my momma." Tia Kemp played high school and college basketball with a scholarship to Arkansas State.
Kemp wants to go to Duke to be in the famed program of coach Mike Krzyewski or North Carolina to follow in Micheal Jordan's footsteps.
