(WWJ) Police told WWJ's Charlie Langton it was like the O.K. Corral when gunfire broke out at a house party in Warren.
A chaotic barrage of gunshots sent four people to the hospital.
Police Commissioner Bill Dwyer says the party was ongoing on Lawson Avenue near Stephens and Groesbeck when people started pulling out guns. Why were they angry ... and why were revelers armed at a party? It's unknown.
Dwyer says he's not sure what provoked attendees to pull out their guns, but he knows they did. About 40 shots were fired.
Police are looking for the shooter. All of the victims are expected to survive.
This follows another incident of serious violence in suburban Warren after a 10-year-old boy was shot and killed at an apartment yesterday. That investigation is ongoing, but Dwyer said there were eight other kids at the apartment unit with the victim, and that investigators believe one of the juveniles fired the weapon.
Warren police are also still investigating the vandalization of a mosque, which some believe was a hate crime. Warren City Councilman Jonathan Lafferty wrote on Facebook that in response to that, police have stepped up patrols to "ensure everyone's safety."
