Police are investigating a deadly crash along Groesbeck Highway in Macomb County.
It happened around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, when police were called to the scene north of Metro Parkway for a head-on crash. They say the female driver of a Chevy Equinox crossed the line into oncoming traffic and was hit by a tow truck.
The 51-year-old was pronounced dead after being taken to McLaren Hospital. Investigators are still working to determine if drugs or alcohol were a factor. They say the tow truck driver was not under the influence, and tried to avoid the SUV.
A drunk driver was arrested for trying to drive through the investigation scene.
