Detroit Police are investigating after a car crashed into a building on the city's west side Monday morning.
The crash happened around midnight when the vehicle hit a telephone pole and then careened through the wall of the former "Unlimited Towing and Tire" building.
Local resident Jack Bostic spoke to WWJ at the scene of the crash, saying, "Edison was out here and everything, said that somebody ran into the pole then hit the building."
The structure has been abandoned for years.
Details on the driver's condition have not been released, though the neighbor said the driver was a woman.
