(WWJ) Congratulations to WWJ reporter Mike Campbell who is being honored by Shelby Township Police tonight.

Campbell was covering a story back in January about a missing 89 year old woman with dementia who had wandered away from her home at 2:30 in the morning.

The woman was wearing only pajamas and slippers when she disappeared. SEE THE DETAILS HERE.

Barbara Kasler, 89, wandered fr home nr 23 and Van Dyke around 3 a.m. in just p.j.’s and slippers, with a purse. She was found about 7:30 a.m. cold but alive - thank God! Shelby Twp Public Safety took her to a hospital to be checked out. More @WWJ950 and https://t.co/NcwIrwPs9B. pic.twitter.com/8R0F32HUc3

Mike not only covered the story, he found the woman and called police.

"This is a case of being in the right place at the right time," a modest Campbell said. "That being said, it's very cool to be a part of that, it feels good, and it's nice to be recognized by the Shelby Township Police Department."

The ceremony is at 6:30 p.m. at the Palazzo Grande banquet hall on Van Dyke.
