Boredom has led to many people trying new things over the last year. However, while some sought to better their lives with these changes, most just focused on getting better at something they already did all the time; drinking. Now, a new map has revealed the most searched cocktails in each state over the last year, and these recipes were definitely searched for quite a bit.

Based on the now viral map, the most popular cocktail in the United States over the last year was a mimosa, with margaritas being selected as the drink of choice for Texans, according to Fox News.

Michigan's top pick was 7 and 7, which (for those who don't know) is a highball cocktail containing Seagram's Seven Crown and 7 Up, typically served over ice.

Some of the other popular drinks making the list include; bellinis, mojitos, pina colada and wine coolers. While some of the choices were obvious, there were a number of surprises as well, such as; Nevada searching for Shirley Temples and Wyoming taking things up a notch with Long Island iced teas.

The map was created by travel blog Upgraded Points, using data from Google Trends. They looked for the most frequent drinks searched from March 2020 to March 2021. Luckily, after a year of boredom, most have perfected these recipes by now.
