Brené Brown Launches 'Unlocking Us' Podcast Through RADIO.COM's Cadence13

Unlocking Us, Brene Brown

During these unprecedented times, it's important for people to feel grounded and inspired despite many lay-offs, work-from-home orders, school closures, and business shutdowns. Researcher and #1 New York Times best-selling author Brené Brown is releasing a podcast that aims to do just that.

"Unlocking Us" will explore ideas, stories, and experiences that will uncover the universal qualities of being human. She'll dive into the bravest moments as well as the most brokenhearted.

The podcast aims to inspire and encourage people to live, love, parent, and lead with more courage and heart.

While the podcast was initially set to launch at this year's SXSW in Austin, the canceled event led to new plans for Brown as she offers her perspective on fears and anxiety in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement, Brown said, "I've spent over 20 years studying the emotions and experiences that bring meaning and purpose to our lives, and if there's one thing I've learned it's this: We are hardwired for connection, and connecting requires courage, vulnerability, and conversation."

She continues, "I want this to be a podcast that's real, unpolished, honest, and reflects both the magic and messiness of what it means to be human. Episodes will include conversations with the people who are teaching me, challenging me, confusing me, or maybe even ticking me off a little."

"I'll also have direct conversations with you about what I'm learning from new research, and we'll do some episodes dedicated to answering your questions. We don't have to do life alone. We were never meant to," she concludes.

"Unlocking Us" premiered on Friday, March 20 and debuted #4 on the charts.
