HAZEL PARK (WWJ) -- A murder investigation is underway in Hazel Park following a deadly stabbing on Labor Day.
According to police, officers responded at around 5:20 p.m. Monday to a home to find a 62-year-old Detroit man who was suffering from stab wounds.
First responders tried to save the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 60-year-old Detroit man was taken into custody at the home and is being investigated in connection with the death.
Police said they're not looking for any additional suspects, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Officials said this case is being investigated as a homicide, adding that the investigation remains active as police work to determine what led to the stabbing.
