DETROIT (WWJ) - One person is dead and two others sustained critical injuries after an argument in Detroit erupted into a triple shooting Saturday morning.
According to the Detroit Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 19900 block of Burt Road, near Pembroke, around 9 a.m. after a disagreement among a group of people soured.
Police said someone produced a firearm and open fired, striking three men. One of the victims died while two others were transported to the hospital with critical injuries.
DPD said a female suspect is in police custody. The motive behind the shooting and how the suspect knew the victims remains unclear.
The identities of the injured were not released by authorities.
The incident remains under police investigation at this time.
