DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit police are on the scene of an early morning shooting that left one man dead on the city’s west side.

WWJ’s Charlie Langton reports that just after 4:30 a.m., shots were fired at a man on Prest Street near Greenfield Road and Fenkell Avenue.

The 43-year-old man was shot in the eye and the pelvis, and a nearby witness rushed to perform CPR. He was then taken to the hospital, where her later died.

There are currently no suspects in custody, though Langton says officers have been reviewing security camera footage nearby businesses and are looking for two males, possibly driving black SUVs.
