PONTIAC (WWJ) -- The Oakland County Sheriff is searching for a suspect following a shooting at a St. Patrick’s Day party on Thursday in Pontiac.
Deputies say an unknown person in an SUV drove by a house party on Maxwell Street shortly before midnight and fired on the crowd.

A 19-year-old Detroit woman was reportedly struck in the arm so forcefully that police say the bullet broke a bone. Another party goer then carried the woman into the house and applied a shirt as a tourniquet.
She was then taken to the hospital for treatment, where she was said to be in serious condition with bullet fragments throughout her forearm.
Multiple vehicles on the street were also struck in the barrage of gunfire, and several groups of shell casings were found in the street and by the home's front door.
The suspect is at large and a motive for the shooting remains unclear as police continue to investigate.
