WRIGHT TWP. (WWJ) – A man is dead and another is injured after their motorcycles went speeding off the road Friday night in Hillsdale County.

Michigan State Police officials say two men from Hudson, ages 46 and 69, were both driving their motorcycles together along Waldron Road around 10:30 p.m. in Wright Township.

Witnesses told authorities the men were driving recklessly at high speeds. Both bikes left the road and crashed.

Both men were taken to a hospital. Neither man was wearing a helmet.

Authorities say the 69-year-old man died on Saturday, while the 46-year-old remained in the hospital late Saturday night.

Police believe alcohol was a factor in the incident, but authorities are still investigating the crash.
