
DETROIT (WWJ) - A 16-year-old Detroit boy is dead after he was shot while in his home on the city's northwest side Friday evening.
According to the Detroit Police Department, the fatal shooting occurred around 10:40 p.m. on April 7 at a home in the 20000 block of Murray Hill, a neighborhood near 8 Mile and the Southfield Freeway.
While the circumstances leading up to the shooting are unclear, police did say the teen was shot and killed inside the house.
Another teen is in police custody in connection to the shooting, but the suspect's connection to the victim was not released by police.
An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
