
DETROIT (WWJ) — An investigation is underway after an infant was hit and killed by a car on Detroit’s west side Tuesday afternoon.
A 1-year-old was hit around 2 p.m. on Snowden Street, near Schaefer Highway and Puritan, according to police.
Authorities have not released many details surrounding the incident, including why the child was in the street or if anyone else was injured.
It was not immediately clear whether any arrests had been made or if a driver was cooperating with police.
