(WWJ) -- What areas of I-75 are deemed the most dangerous in Michigan?
Michigan Auto Law has posted a list of the stretches of I-75 that have had the most accidents and injuries over the past several years, and all were located in Wayne and Oakland counties.
Southbound I-75 between 12 Mile Road and the 12 Mile entrance ramp in Madison Heights took the top spot.
Coming in second was the stretch of southbound I-75 in Troy between Maple and Rochester roads. Meanwhile, I-75 between the 14 Mile Road exit ramp and 14 Mile Road -- again in Madison Heights -- landed in third.
The study showed that overall crashes continued to drop on I-75 in 2020, but fatal crashes on the freeway increased. Additionally, the time of day with the most crashes is 3-6 p.m.
The list is based on car accident data from 2016 through 2020.
