DETROIT (WWJ) -- Jeep is recalling nearly 113,000 vehicles that could potentially have sand in their engines.
WWJ AutoBeat Reporter Jeff Gilbert reports the issue has caused at least 50 vehicles to lose power, at least 30 to catch fire, and three injuries.
The recall involves 2023-2025 model year Jeep Wranglers, and Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrids.
"As parent firm Stellantis works on a fix, owners are advised to park the vehicles outside," Gilbert said.
This recall follows an earlier recall on the same vehicles involving batteries.
