
DETROIT (WWJ) A 12-year-old boy accidentally shot himself on Detroit’s west side, police said.
Police said the boy found the gun inside the home, on Sussex near Greenfield, Saturday at midnight and shot himself.
He was driven to the hospital and is listed in stable condition.
The weapon was recovered. However, the Detroit Police Child Abuse Unit is leading the investigation.
No further details were released. Police have not said if an adult was home at the time.
