DETROIT (WWJ) -- The Detroit Police Department has good news to report in the case of a missing preteen girl.

Police said on Nov. 6 that 12-year-old Ametria Anderson left her home in the 19100 block of Fenelon, near 7 Mile Road, on Nov. 4. She didn't have permission to go out, and was reported missing when she didn't return.

On Nov. 22, the DPD sent an update stating that this missing child has been recovered. Police did not say where she had been for more than two weeks, and no further details were released.
