DETROIT (WWJ) -- Police say a child who went missing more than a month ago in Detroit has been recovered.

According to investigators, 12-year-old Timaia Jones left her home, in the area of Greenfield and W. Grand River Ave, without permission on Saturday, June 8. She was reported missing by her family later that day, when she didn't return.


In an update released the evening of June 15, police said Timaia has been recovered.

Police did not say where the child had been all that time, and no further information was released.
