14-year-old boy injured in stabbing at Oakland County motel, suspect at large

ROYAL OAK TOWNSHIP (WWJ) A stabbing at an Oakland County motel left a teen boy injured.

Michigan State Police (MSP) said it happened on Saturday, December 6 around 10:25 p.m., at the American Inn Suites on 8 Mile at Meyers-- near Coolidge Highway.

According to MSP, troopers arrived at the motel in Royal Oak Charter Township and found a 14-year-old boy who had been stabbed in the leg. Troopers applied a tourniquet to the wound site and administered additional First Aid.

Paramedics rushed the teen to the hospital for treatment. His condition was not released.

Troopers contacted the victim's mother and brought her to the hospital.

Authorities said investigators conducted "several interviews" and are working on further leads on the suspect. The investigation remains ongoing.
