FRASER (WWJ) -- A 15-year-old boy was killed in an officer-involved shooting in Fraser, police said.
The Fraser Department of Public Safety said officers responded to a domestic dispute on Saturday, May 30 around 5:30 p.m. on Breezeway, in the area of 13 Mile Rd. and Kelly.
"During an encounter, an officer discharged their firearm, striking a 15-year-old male," Fraser Police said in a press release.
Authorities said officers provided "immediate medical assistance" at the scene. Doctors pronounced the teen dead at a local hospital.
No officers were injured.
The officer has been placed on administrative leave per department procedure, Fraser Police said.
The department has turned the investigation over to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office.
