
WEST BLOOMFIELD (WWJ) — An investigation is underway after a teenage girl was hit by a car while crossing the street late Friday afternoon in West Bloomfield.
The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. along Orchard Lake Road near Indian Trail, according to the West Bloomfield Police Department.
A 16-year-old girl was walking east across Orchard Lake when she was hit, according to police.
Police and fire personnel were called to the scene and treated the girl on-scene before rushing her to the hospital.
The girl was said to have serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
The driver that hit her remained on-scene and is cooperating with police.
