17-year-old boy critically injured in shooting on Detroit's east side, suspect(s) at large: police

DETROIT (WWJ) Detroit Police are searching for at least one suspect in a shooting on the city's east side that left a teen critically injured.

Police said the 17-year-old boy was shot on Sunday, October 12, around 11 a.m. in a neighborhood on Manning Street, in the area of East State Fair and Gratiot.

The teen was rushed to the hospital. At last check, he was in critical condition.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the shooting and a motive. The suspect(s) remain at large.
