MACOMB TOWNSHIP (WWJ) A crash in Macomb Township left a 19-year-old Auburn Hills man in critical condition.
The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office said they were called to the scene of a multi-vehicle crash on 23 Mile Road at Heydenreich Road on Thursday, December 26th, around 5:30 p.m.
Investigators said a Ford Fusion was traveling west on 23 Mile Road—and crossed the center line, striking a Buick SUV head-on. A third vehicle was also involved in the crash.
The 19-year-old driver of the Ford Fusion, the only person inside it, was rushed to the hospital where he remains in critical condition. The driver of the Buick, a 62-year-old Oxford woman, was hospitalized in stable condition. The passenger of Buick had minor injuries. The driver of the third vehicle did not need medical attention.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor. The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the crash.
