DETROIT (WWJ) -- Charges have been filed against two people for the murder of a Fenton man whose body was found inside an abandoned school in Detroit.
Police said 21-year-old Mason Tabor was killed at the school on Wildemere Street, near W. Davison, the afternoon of December 16, 2024.
It's alleged that 25-year-old Jalon Williams and 29-year-old Hodari Heatley both shot Tabor multiple times, killing him, and they took a handgun from him.
The Wayne County Prosecutor has now charged Williams and Heatley with Premeditated First-Degree Murder, Felony Murder, Armed Robbery, and several counts of Felony Firearm.
Heatley was also charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person.
Williams was arraigned and remanded to jail on March 6, and Heatley on March 7.
Both are set to appear in court again later this month.
The prosecutor's office did not say how, or if, the defendants knew the prior to the shooting, or what the motive might have been.
Both Williams and Heatley are set to appear in court again later this month.
