PONTIAC (WWJ) -- Police in Oakland County are looking for two drivers who were involved in a deadly crash.
According to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened at 11:40 p.m. on Sunday, May 10, on Featherstone at Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
Investigators said a 60-year-old pedestrian was crossing Featherstone in crosswalk when he was hit by an SUV.
The driver appeared to pull over, but did not report the crash, officials said.
Another SUV then also hit the man, and that driver kept going.
No one stopped to help, according to Sheriff Michael Bouchard.
The man died at the scene, and his body was found in the middle of the road.
Now investigators are asking anyone with information about the drivers involved to please come forward.
“It is hard to fathom that a person would strike another human being with a car and drive off, leaving them to die," Bouchard said, in a statement. “We would greatly appreciate the public’s help with any information that could identify the individual(s) involved. A reward is possible if it leads to the arrest and conviction of an individual.”
An investigation by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit is ongoing.
