(WWJ) The Macomb County Prosecutor's Office has charged two young men in the shooting deaths of two young women in Clinton Township.

The defendants — 19-year-old Darrell Semaj Banks of Mount Clemens, and 20-year-old Dajuan Dion-Diego Davenport of Warren — are facing charges of first degree murder and felony firearm for the slayings late last week.

According to police, both men are accused of shooting and killing an 18-year-old woman and 19-year-old woman at the Knottingham Apartment complex, near Gratiot.

The pair was taken into custody Friday evening after crashing a blue Hellcat Charger at Gratiot and 8 Mile while they were being pursued by police. Michigan State Police released intense video footage (above) of the chase and arrests.

Both suspects were injured in the crash, but no members of the public or troopers were hurt, police said.

Police said mugshots of the two men were unavailable on Monday, as both remain under police guard at a local hospital.

A video arraignment on the charges is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday in 41B District Court in Clinton Township.

Authorities have not publicly discussed a suspected motive for the slayings.
