DETROIT (WWJ) — The search is on for a pair of suspects who broke into a clothing store on Detroit’s west side and stole merchandise.
Detroit police on Wednesday released surveillance footage from inside and outside the store. Exterior footage shows the men pulling on the door of the store at the corner of Joy and Pinehurst — a couple blocks west of Oakman Boulevard — around 5 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20.
Once they were inside, video shows them grabbing as much clothing off the racks and shelves as they could.
The suspects fled the scene, but authorities have not said how much the stolen merchandise is valued at. Police did not disclose the name of the store.
Police describe one suspect as a man believed to be in his mid-50s with a gray goatee. He was seen wearing a baseball cap with the word “BOSS” on it. The other suspect is believed to be in his late 40s, bald, with a beard.
Authorities are asking anyone who recognizes either suspect or knows something about the robbery to call the Detroit Police Department’s 2nd Precinct at 313-596-5240.
