DETROIT (WWJ) -- A 2-year-old boy remains in critical condition after swallowing narcotics that were left out in his home.
WWJ's Charlie Langton reports that police were called to a home on Homer Street in southwest Detroit around 8:45 p.m. on Monday night.
The boy was apparently having trouble breathing and was rushed to Children's Hospital, where he is being treated for an overdose.
Detroit Police are treating the incident as a child abuse case, though it remains unclear if anyone has been taken in custody.
