27-year-old driver dies in early morning Oak Park crash

OAK PARK (WWJ) - A single vehicle crash in Oak Park killed one driver early Saturday morning, officials confirmed.

WWJ's Luke Sloan said the crash occurred around 4 a.m. at the intersection of 8 Mile and Coolidge, just east of the Lodge Freeway in Oak Park.

The driver, identified by the Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office as a 27-year-old man, was rushed to a local hospital, but succumbed to his injuries.

It wasn't immediately clear what caused the crash. No other details were released.

An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
