(WWJ) It's a family tragedy on Detroit's northwest side, where police say they are investigating a murder-suicide that left three people dead.
Police were called to a home on Pinehurst Street, near Eight Mile Rd., at around 6 p.m. Tuesday.
"Officers responded and discovered three fatally shot victims at this location and they were all pronounced deceased at this location," Captain Marcus Thirlkill told reporters. "This appears to stem from a family matter, all the individuals who are pronounced deceased at this location are related."
The men's ages ranged from late 20s to mid-50s. Police say they believe the younger man shot the two older men before taking his own life.
"Our homicide task force team which is comprised of Detroit Police and Michigan State Police are leading this investigation," Thirlkill said.
No motive has been determined.
