MECOSTA COUNTY (WWJ) -- Three people in West Michigan lost their lives Tuesday night after a wrong-way crash.

Deputies from the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office got a call late Tuesday night about a driver going the wrong way down US-131, just south of Big Rapids.

Shortly after, 9&10 News reports the MCSD received an update of a head-on collision in the same area and that one of the vehicles was on fire.

According to police, witnesses say the wrong-way driver never stopped before hitting the other car.

There were no survivors in either vehicle. Both drivers and a passenger were killed.

Police are withholding the names of the victims until families can be notified.
