(WWJ) -- When it comes to the best places to live in America — Michigan has got several options!

A new ranking from the travel website Livability highlighting the top 100 places to live in the U.S. features three Michigan cities, and they all sit within the Southeastern region.

Livability compiled their data by looking at U.S. cities with populations ranging from 75,000 to 500,000 people, and reviewing data points such as economy, housing and cost of living, amenities, transportation, environment, safety, education and health.

They then partnered with Applied Geography Solutions to give each city a “LivScore” based on their findings.

Coming in a No. 36 with a LivScore of 732 was Ann Arbor, thanks in part to the University of Michigan, its public schools, great health care options, job opportunities and cultural amenities and events like the Ann Arbor Art Fair.

“Go big, go bold, go blue in Ann Arbor,” the website writes. “Located in southeastern Michigan, Ann Arbor is a thriving college town full of plenty of things to do, from top-notch schools to plenty of parks and recreation opportunities, all while maintaining a low cost of living.”

Meanwhile, two Metro Detroit cities also ranked high on the top 100, including Troy — coming in at No. 10 with a LivScore of 837 — and Rochester Hills, which came in at No. 20 with a score of 798.
