WYANDOTTE (WWJ) - Police say a 25-year-old woman was killed in Wyandotte 10 days ago after a domestic dispute with her boyfriend led to him running her over.

As reported by Fox 2, Troy Szydlowski, 35 of New Boston, is now facing charges of manslaughter in the death of Jayde Lee on Nov. 22. Police say the deadly incident stemmed from a domestic situation that escalated off 1st Street, near Poplar.

When officers arrived on scene, they found the Wyandotte woman's body lying in the road. Police said she sustained "extensive injuries" and was later pronounced dead.

“During the argument, the suspect ran over the victim with a car, resulting in her death,” Deputy Police Chief Archie Hamilton said. “The man was placed under arrest at the scene.”

Szydlowski is being held behind bars on a $100,000, 10% bond, but for Jayde's family, it's not enough to feel that justice was served.

"We trusted you. We really cared about you, and you just, you did this to us," and Jasmine Lee, Jayde's sister via Fox 2. "She was really everything to us. That's the only sister that I have. I don't have another one."

Jaydee's 9-year-old daughter, Serenity, survives her. The family said the young girl is being strong despite the tragedy as both mother and daughter were inseparable.

"Their umbilical cord is still attached. They were still attached," said Jayde's mother, Cheryl Lee. "They are so much alike."

Family members told Fox 2 that Jayde and her boyfriend Szydlowski had only been in a relationship since March. While Jayde's mother and other siblings never could have foreshadowed the events that unfolded last month, they did say they saw warning signals.

They say Szydlowski was verbally abusive.

"She held it back behind closed doors. It wasn't all OK," Cheryl said. "I just want to know, do he feel anything? Do he have any kind of feelings?"

Jasmine created a GoFundMe page to help the family cover funeral expenses. The crowdfunding page can be found here.

"She was so perfect and beautiful," Jasmine wrote of her sister. "I’m going to miss the laughs and jokes we would have. This just doesn’t feel real."

Szydlowski’s next court date is scheduled for Dec. 8 at the 27th District Court in Wyandotte.
