4 injured after gunfire erupts in downtown Lansing, no suspect in custody: police

LANSING (WWJ) - Early morning gunfire in Michigan's capital city struck and injured multiple people on Wednesday, police confirmed.

As reported by WILX, Lansing police were made aware of the shooting in Washington Square after it was reported around 1:30 a.m. on July 5.

Officers arrived at the scene and found four victims, all Black men with ages ranging from 19 to 40, that had sustained gunshot wounds.

The men were rushed to a local hospital for treatment -- police confirmed none of the injuries were considered life-threatening.

At this time, police are continuing to investigate the non-fatal shooting. A suspect or suspects have not been apprehended in the case. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unknown.
