1. Superhero Weekend at Canterbury Village
Grab your capes, your uniforms and your super suits -- it's Superhero Weekend at Canterbury Village! Gather up the kids to meet Thor, Wonder Woman, Batman, and many other fan-favorite favorite heroes. Plus magicians, monster truck rides, face painters, pro wrestling all-stars, "super" sales, and more! Cosplay is encouraged for all ages, so dress up and get ready for a super good time!

Sneaker Con Detroit is the go-to event for sneaker collectors, resellers, and fashionistas to access the largest collection of sneakers in the world. Attendees can also meet many of the most well-known influencers and content creators in the sneaker world. Bring as many shoes as you can carry for selling and trading, and to take advantage of the Authentication services offered By eBay Sneakers.

3. Detroit Historical Society 100 Years Anniversary Celebration
Join the Detroit Historical Society for their 100 Years Anniversary Celebration. Themed “Detroit through the Decades,” the event will shine a spotlight on 100 years of collecting, sharing and preserving Detroit’s history. The evening will include a strolling dinner and dessert reception throughout the museum, a silent auction and raffle, plus various entertainment experiences including period actors bringing museum exhibits to life.
Saturday, April 29 from 6:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. at the Detroit Historical Museum
The Freep Film Festival is back once again to showcase a slew of great documentaries, with a focus on films connected to Detroit and Michigan. The festival also presents a variety of panel discussions, parties, music events and more. Centered in the core of Downtown Detroit, the Freep Film Festival is produced by the Detroit Free Press, with events at the Fillmore Detroit, the Detroit Film Theatre at the DIA and more.

5. Frühlingsfest at Eastern Market Brewing
Raise a stein because Frühlingsfest is back! This weekend, Eastern Market Brewing will welcome spring by tapping their draft-only beer fest. Frühlingsfest also kicks off "Steins of Summer." Grab a 22oz german glass stein at Frühlingsfest and bring it back all summer long for beer specials. Plus, German food from Oscar & Wally’s, sweet treats from Junk Jules and more.
