Thomas H. Brown Central Park, Westland
They call it the biggest summer bash in all of western Wayne County: Blues, Brews and Barbeque, Friday and Saturday in Westland. It's all about slick blues music, good ol' authentic BBQ food, and ice-cold domestic draft brews. There will be a drone show, kids zone, fireworks, a cornhole tournament, and more! Admission is FREE.

Greenmead Historic Park, Livonia
The St. Andrew's Society of Detroit's Annual Highland Games — a celebration of Scottish culture and heritage. The event includes live entertainment featuring national and regional artists, a Pipe Band competition, Heavy Athletic competition, Highland Dance completion and the “Parade of Clans” featuring Clans from across the U.S. There will also be a "Wee Bairns Area" for the kids, a diverse marketplace of Celtic crafts, merchandise, and collectibles, and Scottish food.

Blakes Orchard & Cider Mill in Armada
Raise your glass to 10 years of Cider Dayze! Sample sips from 50+ cideries, breweries and wineries on the beautfuil grounds of Blake's Orchard & Cider Mill in Armada. There will be live music, a silent disco, food trucks, a stein holding competiion, pretzel eating contest and more. Get your tickets.
4. Dearborn Homecoming Festival
Friday-Sunday, August 1-3
Ford Field Park, Dearborn
Live music — including headliners The War and Treaty on Saturday and Third Eye Blind on Sunday — carnivals rides, a Paint Out in the Park competition, delicious food and a vendors' village highlight this 44th annual event. The best part: the concerts are FREE.

Columbia Center in Troy
You'll have fun getting stuck in this one. The Troy Traffic jam, a car show with classics, muscle cars, high-performance vehicles, and exotics is happening Sunday in Troy. This year's event will celebrate SPEED by featuring cars from across all genres of racing, plus Tech Talks, pedal car races, and more fun!
