1. Woodward Dream Cruise

The Woodward Dream Cruise rolls into Metro Detroit this weekend with all the classic cars and community fun you’ve come to expect from the annual event. Spanning several miles of Woodward, drivers cruise through nine participating cities, including Pontiac, Bloomfield Township, Bloomfield Hills, Birmingham, Royal Oak, Berkley, Huntington Woods, Pleasant Ridge & Ferndale in Oakland County. Celebrate all things automotive with 104.3 WOMC on Saturday, August 17 from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. on Woodward Avenue.

2. Michigan Renaissance Festival

HUZZAH! Join the villagers of Hollygrove as they invite one and all to the magical Michigan Renaissance Festival featuring 17 stages of exciting entertainment including: musicians, magicians, jugglers and jousting. Over 100 artisans will fill the Festival marketplace to display and sell their handcrafted goods for a truly fabulous and endless shopping experience. Patrons will interact with memorable characters and enjoy full-contact live armored jousting, seven theme weekends, and fabulous food fit for royalty!

3. Assumption Cultural Center’s GreekFest

Get down Greek-style at the Assumption Cultural Center’s GreekFest this weekend! The annual event will feature fantastic fun and entertainment including live music and Greek dancing lessons, tons of authentic Greek food, and a massive marketplace with a variety of international vendors. Plus, the kids will have plenty to do with a giant slide, magic and puppet shows, face painting and more!

4. Armada Fair

Michigan’s beloved Armada Fair is back this weekend with all of its infamous carnival, rodeo and demolition derby fun! Plus, check out the rodeo, bump and run races, demolition derby, monster trucks and tractor & truck pulls. Enjoy “A True Country Fair” in Armada, happening now through Sunday, August 18.

5. Grosse Pointe Art Fair

This weekend's Grosse Pointe Art Fair is a juried fine art and fine artisan fair in the beautiful visitor center at the historic Ford Estate in Grosse Pointe Shores. Shop for one-of-a-kind works of art in all styles and media, including painting, woodworking, ceramics, handmade jewelry, and more. Talk with the creators themselves about their work, plus stroll the beautiful gardens and grounds of the historic Ford House.
