1. Valentine’s Day Sweetheart Skate Date

The Downtown Detroit Partnership invites couples to a Valentine’s Day Sweetheart Skate Date. What’s more romantic than gliding along the ice hand-in-hand with your sweetheart while enjoying majestic views of the Detroit skyline? The rink will be lit up with the colors of love and feel-good ballads and classic love songs will fill the air. All couples are welcome to join this celebration of love. Skaters will also have a chance to win tickets to upcoming shows courtesy of Broadway in Detroit!

Friday, Feb. 14 from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. at the Rink at Campus Martius in Detroit

2. Blake’s 9th Annual Chili Cook-Off

Spice up your February with great drinks, live music, and good vibes at Blake’s 9th Annual Chili Cook-Off! Be there on Saturday, Feb. 15 for a social afternoon of craft hard cider, beer, and endless entertainment. Live music will keep the energy high while you enjoy family-friendly games, cold pints, and unlimited chili samples to keep you fueled. The day wraps up with the ultimate chili showdown at 4 p.m., where contestants face off for top honors in categories like four-legged, two-legged, exotic, and no-legged.

Saturday, Feb. 15 from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. at Blake’s Orchard & Cider Mill in Armada

3. Fireworks and Flannels

Join in on the fun for Fireworks and Flannels, a new outdoor winter festival in Waterford with activities for the whole family. The day starts with a 1k/5k Flannel Fun Run. All registered participants will get a medal, and t-shirts while supplies last. Then, guests can walk around the event grounds and enjoy live entertainment, food trucks, a beer tent, horse-drawn wagon rides, mobile recreation, The Art Experience, an illuminated walking path and more! The whole day wraps up with a beautiful fireworks finale.

4. Winter Around the World

There’s no better place to experience winter celebrations from around the globe than on Detroit’s international riverfront this coming weekend! Bundle up and head out for a worldly experience at Winter Around the World at Valade Park. The festival will feature an international food truck rally and dance performances showcasing a variety of styles and genres by Detroit artists, all culminating in a Lunar New Year celebration on Sunday, Feb. 16.

5. Detroit Valentine’s Day Helicopter Tour

Elevate your Valentine's Day celebration this year with the ultimate high-flying experience! Treat your loved one to a private Detroit Valentine’s Day Helicopter Tour, whisking you both away on a romantic adventure through the skies. The Valentine’s Day Tour will take you soaring over Downtown Detroit, where snow-covered streets and glistening lights create a magical backdrop.
