1. Winter at Valade’s Fire and Ice
Winter at Valade’s Fire and Ice weekend offers tons of winter medieval fun with some of your renaissance fair favorites! Enjoy turkey legs, an ice carving competition, try your hand at archery and ax throwing, or take your picture on the Iron Throne - made of ice! Frozen's Elsa and Renaissance Fair performers will be wandering the park for additional photo opportunities. The signature moment of the weekend is Fire and Ice Tower - a 7-foot ice structure that will become a giant bonfire once lit on Saturday evening.
Friday, Jan. 10 - Sunday, Jan. 12 at Valade Park in Detroit
Start your engines — the Detroit Auto Show is driving back into the Motor City! Now returning to January for the first time in several years, the Detroit Auto Show will include brand-defining vehicles, product ride-and-drives, dynamic experiential activations, a chance to preview emerging mobility technologies and more. Experience 30 brands over the course of 11 days, with four tracks — in one Motor City. Grab your friends and family and head to the world-famous Detroit Auto Show this weekend!

Drop a line at the Largest Pure Fishing event in America at Metro Detroit's Ultimate Fishing Show this weekend! Shop every kind of fishing boat or engine sold in Michigan by dealers who know best. Meet the owner/operators of outfitters, lodges, resorts, charters and guides from all over the continent. Plus, check out hundreds of booths of fishing tackle including specialty baits that are only available at the show, which happens now through Sunday at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi!

4. 3rd Annual Pontiac Winter Fest
Save the date for the 3rd Annual Winter Fest, which will be held on Saturday, Jan. 11, from 5 p.m. through 8 p.m. on the grounds of Pontiac City Hall. The Pontiac Youth Recreation and Enrichment division is creating additional excitement so the Pontiac community can dive into spectacular winter activities like ice skating, shopping with local vendors, polar express rides, music, delicious food, hot chocolate, and much more! Join in as Pontiac kicks off 2025 with another great city event!

5. 11th Annual Detroit Pistons Cornhole Tournament
The Detroit Pistons & Michigan Cornhole are partnering up for the 11th Annual Detroit Pistons Cornhole Tournament! You won’t want to miss this fun day filled with good times, cornhole and basketball. Entry is $38 per person and includes a minimum of two games, an exclusive Pistons Cornhole Tournament t-shirt (first come, first serve), and a ticket to see the Pistons take on the Toronto Raptors on Saturday, Jan. 11. The tournament is double elimination format. Bring your own partner!
